Covington Fabric is a textile manufacturer and distributor located in New York City. This particular website targets their contract business, primarily hotels and large businesses that buy material in bulk for non-clothing use. They need a site that is easy to use and allows their customers to find fabric patterns based on various parameters, including colors, usage, fabric types, and performance.
We designed and developed a system that allows customers to quickly and easily find the products that suit their needs, including an Advanced Search feature that offers multiple search parameters. Large styled drop menus provide direct access to groups of products. Product pages include a zoom feature so customers can see all the intricate details of the fabric Covington offers.
The site also makes extensive use of slide shows featuring beautiful product photography, social media feeds and links, and a customer account system so sample fabric swatches can be ordered.
2015 Update: The site was updated to be fully responsive and works perfectly on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
2017 Update: A cleaner design was implemented and all pages widened, including a full-width slideshow added to the Home page.
